Dan Meccariello is an experienced operations and engineering leader with deep expertise in organic waste and wastewater infrastructure. He brings a strong background in developing and operating complex treatment systems across the agricultural and food manufacturing sectors, with a focus on scaling anaerobic digestion platforms and advancing biogas solutions.
Prior to joining Generate Upcycle, Dan served as Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of Dynamic Systems Management, a turnkey organic waste treatment solutions provider focused on the development and operation of anaerobic digestion and wastewater treatment projects across North America. In parallel, he was the General Manager of Engineering for US Biogas, an anaerobic digestion systems and equipment design firm he co-founded in 2011.
Earlier in his career, Dan worked in the construction industry as a project manager and process engineer, supporting industrial and municipal wastewater infrastructure projects. He later joined Generate, where he has held leadership roles overseeing operations and helping expand the company’s organics recycling platform.
In 2023, Dan was recognized as a Waste360 40 Under 40 award recipient for his contributions to the waste industry. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
