What We Accept
Our facilities are designed to process a wide range of industrial and agricultural feedstock, including:
- Cover crops
- Energy crops
- Vegetables and fruits
- Spoiled or waste crops
“In 2025, we recycled nearly 1 million tons of organic waste, helping our partners avoid 446,000 MTCO2e of greenhouse gas emissions.”
Feedstock Processing Workflow
Every ton of feedstock we accept follows a controlled, traceable process to maximize energy recovery and resource reuse.
1. Collection & Transport
Materials are collected or delivered directly to our regional facilities.
2. Pre-Processing
Agricultural waste is sorted and prepared before being loaded into our anaerobic digesters.
3. Anaerobic Digestion
Microbes quickly break down organic waste in an oxygen-free environment, producing biogas and nutrient-rich digestate.
4. Resource Recovery
Biogas can be used for heating or electricity generation, or upgraded into renewable natural gas. Digestate becomes sustainable fertilizer for use as a soil amendment on nearby farms.
Environmental and Economic Impact
Sustainable agricultural feedstock processing benefits both the planet and the bottom line:
- Reduces carbon emissions
- Quickly processes large quantities of feedstock
- Helps industries meet ESG and zero-waste goals
- Enables renewable energy production and nutrient recovery that can be returned right to the source — farmers’ fields
Compliance & Safety
Generate Upcycle’s facilities operate within strict environmental, safety, and waste management regulations across all jurisdictions. We meet compliance standards for international safety and sustainability and local, regional, and national environmental regulations to ensure our processes and renewable products benefit both people and the planet.
