Floriano Ferreira is an experienced engineer and project development leader with more than 25 years of domestic and international experience in the waste-to-value and bioenergy sectors, following an early career leading large-scale public infrastructure projects. He has extensive expertise in the design, development, and execution of complex waste and biogas projects across global markets.
Throughout his career, Floriano has provided technical leadership and design for more than 300 bioenergy and waste projects spanning municipal solid waste (MSW), industrial, and agricultural sectors. He has also been involved in the operation of many of these facilities. His experience encompasses a wide range of energy generation and byproduct recovery technologies.
Prior to joining Generate Upcycle, Floriano held roles at Anaergia, AES, Mota-Engil S.A. and Tetra Tech, where he delivered technical expertise and supported capacity building and training for government-led international waste programs.
Floriano holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Porto and an MBA from Hult International Business School.
