Suzanne Hunt is a seasoned policy and sustainability leader with more than two decades of experience addressing complex challenges across the energy, agriculture, transportation, waste, and environmental sectors. She joined Generate Capital in 2021 as Policy Director and, in 2023, became Vice President of Policy at Generate Upcycle.

Prior to joining Generate Capital, Suzanne focused her career on driving impact in partnership with leading organizations, including Environmental Defense, the Worldwatch Institute, and the Carbon War Room. She also founded and led her policy consulting firm, Hunt Green, LLC, where she supported initiatives for UN agencies, the U.S. Department of Energy, and industry leaders such as Air New Zealand and the XPRIZE Foundation.

Suzanne has received numerous awards and recognitions for her advocacy and leadership. She was featured as a “Pioneer” in Science Magazine, named to the Rochester Business Journal’s 2024 and 2025 Power List, and her vineyard received the first Sustainability Award from the New York Wine & Grape Foundation in 2022.
 She currently serves on the Board of the Finger Lakes Land Trust and the Future Mobility Alliance and is a Trustee of the Seneca Park Zoo Society. Suzanne has also advised organizations including the Club of Madrid, Air New Zealand, and Bayer Corporation.

Beyond her professional work, Suzanne is deeply committed to clean energy and sustainability. She is co-owner of her family’s seventh-generation farm and certified sustainable winery, Hunt Country Vineyards, in the Finger Lakes region of New York. As a small business owner, she is active in her local community, hosting events, supporting charitable initiatives, and backing her family members who serve as volunteer firefighters.
